I'm having to add audio tracks for each Midi track I have the sequencer sending midi and assign them the input in Ableton, record arm the midi from track, and arm the audio track monitor to hear what I'm doing. Currently I'm just trying to make sure I understand what's going on with the sequencer, running through Ableton I think my setup might still be a bit wonky? I'm new to Ableton, coming from Maschine and Reaktor. Another step I took is to assign the audio track for each sequencer track with the menu accessed by Shift + Pattern in on the MK3. I managed to make some 4 track generative stuff, which is cool.

I'd assume Kong is velocity sensitive so if you had a velocity sensitive controller, all the better (my Launchpad - the mark 1 version - isn't vel sensitive). load your individual notes to Kong -> map Kong to your MIDI controller pads. I've hardly ever used Kong but l'm assuming its pads are MIDI mappable.
In fact l think l've only ever heard people speak about this with regard to Kong. I'm not sure if you can MIDI map individual notes on NN19 or NNXT. I think what you want is to map a multisample instrument to your pads.
